Returns, Exchanges & Refund Policy – Waiapu Road
1. Definitions

Final Sale: Products marked as FINAL SALE in the product title or description are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund unless deemed faulty under Clause 5. This includes all discounted and promotional items explicitly noted as final sale at the time of purchase.

Pre-Order: Products marked as PRE-ORDER in the product title or description are purchased in advance and are made to order or shipped at a later date. Pre-orders are considered final sale and are not eligible for cancellation, return, or refund unless deemed faulty under Clause 5.

Return: The process of sending an item back to us for inspection, usually because it doesn’t fit, or is faulty. Returns are only accepted under the conditions outlined in this policy.

Exchange: Replacing a returned item with another of the same item in a different size or colour, if available. We do not offer exchanges for different products.

Refund: A monetary reimbursement for an approved return. Refunds are only offered for faulty items as outlined in Clause 5 or at Waiapu Road’s sole discretion.

Store Credit: A non-expiring credit issued to your account that can be used toward a future purchase. Store credit is offered in lieu of a refund for eligible returns, exchanges or other cases where a refund is not applicable.
2. Eligibility for Returns and Exchanges
Waiapu Road may, at its sole discretion, offer store credit or exchange of an item if:
- the request to return is made within 14 days of delivery
- Is in brand new, unused condition
- Has original tags attached and is in its original packaging
Waiapu Road may, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to offer a refund on a case by case basis.
All return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, and returns must be sent using tracked shipping.
Once your return is accepted, your item must be returned within 7 working days. Waiapu Road reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions.
3. Pre-Orders
Pre-order items are purchased in advance of being manufactured. Pre-orders are non-refundable. Once the item is in stock and has arrived in New Zealand, we can offer:

An exchange if you have purchased the incorrect size, and your requested exchange size is available

Store credit if the required size is not available and the customer no longer wants the item
No refunds are available unless the item is faulty, as outlined in Clause 5.
4. Final Sale and Non-Refundable Items
All items marked as final sale, either online or in promotional material — are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
All purchases are final and non-refundable, including pre-orders, unless the item is deemed faulty under Clause 5. This includes:
- Change of mind purchases - please choose carefully
- Items marked "FINAL SALE
- Items marked "PRE-ORDER"
- Gift vouchers (see Clause 11)

5. Faulty Items and Damaged Items
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is damaged, defective or faulty, please contact us immediately via email at info@waiapuroad.com with:

A description of the fault

Clear photos of the issue
This must be done within a reasonable timeframe. If the item is deemed faulty, Waiapu Road will choose to repair, replace, provide store credit, or refund the item at its discretion.
6. Order Issues
If we sent you the wrong item, Waiapu Road will cover the return shipping and send you the correct item upon receiving the incorrect item back.
If the order you receive is incorrect, contact us immediately at info@waiapuroad.com with your order number and a description of the issue so we can make it right.
7. Wear and Tear
Items damaged through wear and tear are not considered faulty. If the item was purchased more than 30 days ago, any damage will be treated as wear and tear and not eligible for return, repair, or refund.
8. Worn Items
If you are returning a faulty item that has been worn, it must be clean. We will not accept soiled or unwashed returns.
9. Exchanges
Exchanges will be processed once the returned item is received and inspected.

10. Change of Mind
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for:

11. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and will never be discounted.
12. Jewellery
All jewellery is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.
